Can anyone help a fellow Charger owner out with its location? I’d rather not spend the entire afternoon hunting for it under the hood.
I’ve been down that road before, and I totally get the frustration. On your 2015 Charger, the starter is tucked away on the passenger side of the engine, towards the rear. To be more specific, it’s located near the bottom, close to where the engine and transmission meet.
You might need to get under the car to get a good look at it—there’s not a lot of room to maneuver from the top. If you’ve got ramps or a jack, that’ll make things easier. Once you’re underneath, look for a cylindrical part with an electrical connection running to it—that’s your starter.
If you’re planning to replace it, just be prepared that getting to some of the bolts can be a bit tricky, but with a little patience, you’ll get it done. Good luck, and here’s hoping a new starter gets your Charger firing up like it should!
