Title: Dodge Charger Won't Start - Causes And How To Fix It
Linear Mode
#2
Key Fob Battery

The key fob is an abbreviation for the keychain remote. A key fob allows entry into a vehicle without the use of a traditional key. It also allows the owner to remotely start the engine, lock and unlock doors, open the trunk, and turn on interior lights. So if your Charger's key fob battery is dead, you won't be able to do any of those things!

If you think that your Charger's starting problems are due to a dead key fob battery, there are a few ways to test it. The first way is to try using the physical key to unlock the door. If the key doesn't work, then it's probably because the battery in the key fob is dead. Another way to test it is to try starting the car with the key fob. If the car doesn't start, then it's probably because the key fob battery is dead.

The key fob battery is usually a CR2032 or CR2025 lithium coin cell. These batteries can be bought at most convenience stores or online. To replace the battery, you will need to remove the back cover of the key fob. There is usually a small notch or indentation that you can use to pry open the back cover. Once the back cover is off, you can remove the old battery and replace it with a new one. Make sure to put the back cover back on before you try to use the key fob again!

Starter Motor Is Broken

The starter is the motor that starts your Charger's engine. Usually, it has a lifespan of 100,000 to 150,000 miles but frequent usage will shorten that. Eventually, the starter motor will degrade and fail after extended use; if this happens, then the engine will not be able to start.

Starter motors are usually very reliable, but if yours does fail, then you will need to replace them. This is a fairly easy task that can be done at home with the right tools. However, if you are not comfortable doing it yourself, then you can always take it to a mechanic.

A starter motor that emits a clicking sound instead of starting the engine is broken and will need to be replaced. A malfunctioning starter is a usual suspect if the starter motor doesn't work with a healthy battery. If the starter fails, it will likely need to be replaced. Also, you may need a new starter if your Charger's engine is cranking slowly or not at all.

If your car's engine won't start because the starter is dysfunctional, you may be able to get it going by turning the key while thwacking the starter motor with a stick or some other metal object. If the starter's parts are seized or the gears aren't properly meshed, this workaround will help.

Fuel Pump Failure

If the fuel pump in your Charger fails, the engine won't start. The pump's function is to send enough fuel from the tank to the engine injection system with proper pressure. Thus, the engine will receive the correct mixture of fuel and air, and it will start.

If the fuel pump is defective, you need to replace it as soon as possible. Depending on the year and model of your Charger, the fuel pump may be located in different places. It could be located in the gas tank, near the firewall in the engine compartment, or under the rear seat.

If you suspect that your Charger's fuel pump is failing, there are a few symptoms that you can look for. One symptom is if the engine is cranking but not starting. Another symptom is if the engine starts but then stalls shortly after. If either of these things happen, then it's likely that the fuel pump is failing and needs to be replaced.

Another symptom of a failing fuel pump is if the car's engine is misfiring. If the engine is misfiring, then it's not getting enough fuel and it will run poorly. This can be caused by a number of things, but one possibility is a failing fuel pump.

If you think that your Charger's fuel pump is failing, the best thing to do is to take it to a mechanic and have them diagnose the problem. They will be able to tell for sure if the fuel pump needs to be replaced.

The Failure Of The Engine

Vehicle engine failure is a very rare event, but it can cause your car's charging system to break down. If an engine fails, the entire car may stop working. In some cases, the driver of the vehicle may be responsible for such damage. Common reasons behind check engine light illuminating include a damaged timing belt, fuel feeding problems, oil shortage, frequent driving at high speeds, etc.

So, the next time you see your check engine light come on, don't ignore it! Take your Charger to a mechanic and have them check it out. If your Charger's engine has failed, you will need to replace it. This is a very difficult and expensive task, so it's best to avoid it if at all possible. However, if your engine does fail, then you will need to take it to a mechanic and have them replace the engine.
