Title: Why won’t my Dodge Charger shift out of park?
Threaded Mode
#1
So... I went to drive my 2016 Dodge Charger this morning, and out of nowhere, it’s stuck in park. The brake pedal feels fine when I press it, so I don’t think that’s the issue. The shifter just won’t budge, no matter how hard I try. I’m wondering if this could be related to the brake light switch or maybe something with the shift interlock system? I’ve read a few things online about people having similar issues, but it seems like there could be a lot of reasons for this to happen. I’m really hoping it’s not something with the transmission, but I have no idea at this point. Anyone had this happen before or know a quick fix? I’m literally stranded in my driveway right now, so any help would be appreciated!
