Title: How to fix a heated steering wheel on a Dodge Charger?
Threaded Mode
#1
Hey all, I’m having a bit of an issue with my 2018 Dodge Charger R/T (5.7L HEMI). The heated steering wheel has suddenly stopped working, which is, of course, happening right when the temperatures have dropped, and it’s freezing outside. It was working perfectly last winter, but now it’s just not heating up at all. The button still lights up when I press it, but no warmth comes through. I’m really hoping this isn’t a major repair because I don’t want to shell out a ton of cash just to get warm hands!

Has anyone else had this problem with their Charger? I’m wondering if it could be something simple like a blown fuse or a wiring issue. Maybe there’s a connection that’s come loose? I’ve read that in some cases, it could also be a problem with the heating element in the wheel itself. If it’s that, does anyone know how expensive it is to replace or repair?

I’d really appreciate any tips or suggestions before I take it to the dealer. I’m hoping it’s a quick DIY fix, but if not, at least I’ll know what I’m in for. Anyone have experience with this and found a solution? Thanks in advance – my freezing hands thank you too!
