Title: Is the Firestone FR740 tire a good choice for Dodge Charger?
Threaded Mode
#1
I’ve been running Firestone FR740s on my Charger for the past few months, and honestly, they’ve been pretty solid overall. They offer a nice balance of performance and comfort, which is great for daily driving. In terms of road noise, I’ve found them to be relatively quiet compared to some other tires I’ve used in the past. They give decent grip on both wet and dry roads, which is important because we all know the Charger has a good amount of power to handle, especially if you’ve got one of the higher-performance models.

In wet conditions, the FR740s have held up well for me, with no major issues like hydroplaning or loss of control. I’ve had them during a few heavy rainstorms, and they seem to cut through water decently, keeping the car stable. Dry performance is good too. They grip well during everyday driving and even hold up when I push the car a bit harder around corners.

That said, I’m curious if anyone else has tried these tires and what your thoughts are? Maybe you’ve found better tires in the same price range? I’ve heard some folks suggest alternatives like the Michelin Pilot Sport or Continental ExtremeContact, but they’re a bit pricier. If there are better options that don’t break the bank, I’d love to know. So far, though, I’m pretty happy with the Firestones—they seem to be a solid mid-range tire option for anyone looking for decent performance without splurging on ultra-premium tires.
