Title: What are the signs of a bad transmission mount on a Dodge Charger?
Threaded Mode
#1
So I’ve been hearing some odd clunking noises when shifting gears, especially when I put my Charger in reverse or when I accelerate from a stop. It feels like there’s a slight jolt or thud when the transmission engages. A buddy of mine suggested it might be the transmission mount going bad. Does that sound right to anyone else?

From what I’ve read, symptoms of a bad mount could include increased vibrations while driving, a noticeable clunk when shifting, and even misalignment of the engine and transmission. I haven’t noticed any severe vibrations yet, but the clunk is getting more frequent. If you’ve had this issue, did you experience similar symptoms? I’m trying to diagnose it before it gets any worse or causes other damage. Also, how urgent is it to fix, and can driving with a bad mount cause more serious problems down the line? Any advice would be appreciated!
